I explore the human perception of nature through weavings, natural dyes, soft sculptures, prints, and photographs that reference cultural histories in relationship to the natural landscape.
Concepts that illustrate experiences of vicarious resilience and positive thinking will always permeate my work, as it is at the heart of my activist practice as an art therapist.

Who is this artist? I have been making a similar pattern on my loom and I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate fringe into my work.
There are too many artists on tumblr where their work goes around the internet without a name, especially talented artisans. This needs to change. There are too many people that reblog without giving credit to the maker. Tumblr is art history in action, let’s be ethical!

I originally wrote this post not knowing who the artist is. After a little research, I found out! John@looming. Click on the image to visit his tumblr website of woven artwork. I also strongly identify with the way he uses pattern in his work. His work is gorgeous and everyone should visit it.
